IDA gives you the option of making your donation "In honor of" or "In memory of" a family member, close friend or beloved animal companion. Please choose only ONE of these options (the purpose of each is explained below).

In honor of...

A donation to IDA "In honor of" someone is a unique way to commemorate special events like birthdays and anniversaries or milestones like graduations, weddings and births. You can also make a donation "In honor of" an animal companion's birthday or other special occasion. Recognizing your loved ones this way allows IDA to work for animals on their behalf. Upon request, IDA will gladly notify the individual of your donation to IDA in their honor.

To make a donation for a specific IDA campaign or cause (e.g., "Pit Bulls," "Hurricane Katrina" or "Foie Gras"), enter the name of the campaign or cause in the "In honor of" box.

In memory of...

If you want to pay tribute to a loved one who has passed away, then you can make a donation "In memory of" that individual. You can dedicate an "In memory of" donation to anyone, human or non-human, who was important to you. Donating to IDA "In memory of" someone allows you to pay your respects to them by supporting the vital work that IDA does to end cruelty to animals. IDA can notify anyone you specify, such as family and mutual friends, of your donation to IDA in honor of the dearly departed.
